From Saxifrage, this year's competition editor:
"He is winding the watch of his wit; by and by it will strike."
Apparently it has taken us a long time to wind this particular watch -- I apologize profusely for the delay in announcing the theme for this year's flat competition.
This year, I want to see your best Shakespeare! Parody a sonnet. Summarize the plot of your favorite play. Cast a new production with your fellow Krewe. Break out your best iambic pentameter. Whatever your preferred method, pay tribute to the Bard with your flat!
"Pleasure and action make the hours seem short" -- and alas, our time is quite short. The deadline for submitting flats is Sunday, June 20th. Please submit flats to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sax needs a couple of people to test-solve during the week of June 20; if you'd like to help, please let her know.
