Hotel Reservations:

Our room block at the Westin has sold out.
IMPORTANT: If you want to cancel your registration, please contact Wesley first.
You can reach the hotel directly at 207-775-5411. The hotel web site is here.
Alternate Hotel
If you were unable to make a reservation at the Westin, we have managed to secure a block a the Fireside Inn and Suites at a discounted rate for those of you still looking for convention accommodation.
The rate will be $112 a night for Wednesday, Thursday and $160 a night for Friday, Saturday. The hotel is nice, has free parking, wifi, an airport shuttle and a swimming pool. This hotel is not right in downtown Portland but is still in Portland proper and I am arranging a shuttle that will run between the two hotels (including overnight for you wee hour folk). To make a reservation at the Fireside please call their front desk 207-774-5601 and make sure to tell them that you are part of the "Jennifer Braun Group". Also please email me so that I can keep track of how many people have reserved. Please reserve ASAP.

If you are looking for cheaper options, there are a Motel 6, a Super 8 and a Travelodge in Portland. All of them are farther out of the city and not super nice but they currently have rates less than either of our hotels. If you are looking to be right downtown there are other hotels in Portland that are on the waterfront or in the middle of the city but anything downtown will be considerably more expensive.

Convention Drop-in Policy
Locals can "drop-in" for a single session Thursday or Friday night without paying and we encourage local puzzlers considering membership to do so. Thursday and Friday night sessions start at 8PM. If you like what you see at the session, it may be possible for a local person to join the League and pay the con fee during con, in order to attend the rest of con. If you are interested, contact the Con host, Wesley.

Code of Conduct
The organizers of this convention are committed to preserving a welcoming and respectful environment for anyone who wishes to participate. We do not tolerate harassment of convention-goers or League members in any form. If you feel that any individual is speaking or acting inappropriately, either toward you or to someone else, please contact a member of the Code of Conduct Committee to mediate or intercede, as necessary. Read the full Code of Conduct here. Read how to report an incident here.
